MSM, at the forefront in the plastics dosing field, offers different systems suitable for application in the different fields of injection, extrusion, etc.
The systems for plastic materials dosing and blending presented by MSM are divided into the following categories:
In addition to volumetric dosing systems, horizontal mixers are available to increase dosing performance.
CDS series volumetric dosers are suitable for dosing on injection molding machines, extruders, blow molding machines or other processing machines with plastic material in granules, micro-granules, masterbatches and regrinds.
A simple and innovative range of two basic models, CDS 1 and CDS 2, ensures, by means of a wide and structured range of possible configurations, the most suitable application with standard productions from 0.1 to 120 g/s.
The dosage of the plastic material is volumetric with the auger driven by a stepper motor.
The CDS dosers, combined with TMO series horizontal mixers, will make you have a precise and constant dosage of perfectly mixed material.
Main features of these dosers are:
PDSM batch gravimetric dosing units have been designed to ensure maximum dosing accuracy.
Each component laying in different hoppers is dosed together with the others at the desired percentage, weighed, mixed and sent to the transforming process. With material opening and closing shutters, two high-resolution load cells for batch weighing with optimal center of gravity make these dosers an extremely reliable and repeatable system.
By simply setting the percentage of granules, regrind, additives and master, the main material is calculated automatically.
Thanks to the exclusive intelligent regrind management system, PDSM automatically adjusts by keeping the proportions of the various components constant, even in the event of an uneven quantity of regrind. This always guarantees expected results and avoids any color variation.
The operation cycle can be started by pushing the start button. The display shows all the machine variables at any time during production. The system highlights the progressive consumption of each single material for the entire duration of production, the total instantaneous consumption and the throughput in kg/h.
PDSM gravimetric systems are available in standard configuration for up to 4 materials and for up to 600 kg/h.
For the best process control, they can be equipped with a PC supervision system.
GDS loss-in-weight gravimetric dosing units are designed to dose up to 7 materials for extrusion and co-extrusion processes, for a maximum production up to 500 kg/h (depending on the material density).
These machines feature a high reliability and dosing precision, also with materials in small quantities. GDS units are modular and eventually allow easy upgrades to include additional components in the extrusion process.
Each component weighing station is equipped with a weighed hopper which receives the plastic material above through a pneumatically controlled shutter. The state-of-the-art technology allows precise measurement of the material batch even in extreme environmental conditions. The feeding of the component to be dosed is carried out by means of a hopper loader together with a reserve hopper, all placed above the GDS dosing unit (directly on it or on a mezzanine).
There are different combinations of sleeve/auger for various application needs, ensuring the optimal use of the dosing station. A complete program for hopper loaders is available.
Main features of GDS doser are:
TMO series homogenization systems are designed to get a perfectly homogeneous mixing in the dosage of plastic materials in combination with CDS series volumetric dosers.
Their use allows to cover the dosing needs of most processing machines. They also find application in the following cases:
Available in different models, with capacity up to 24 liters, they are entirely made in stainless steel, include homogenization rotating shaft with evolving blades, openable visual specula for easy cleaning and are driven by a three-phase gear motor.
